Spanish Mixed Case

A perfectionist with irrepressible energy, Alvaro powered into town on his Palomino, lowered yields, heightened quality, emptied the coffers, and filled his bottles with colourful, exciting, high-quality expressions of the historic region. Palacios Remondo own all of their vineyards (a rarity in Rioja) and so have complete control, and vines that are getting some serious age, too. This mixed case contains two bottles each of the La Vendimia and La Montesa from Rioja using Grenache and Tempranillo to the best of its ability, and also two bottles of Camins del Priorat which blends these varieties with Cabernet and Syrah in Priorat and is Deep, lurid ruby. Powerful, mineral-tinged dark fruit liqueur, potpourri and woodsmoke aromas are complemented by a slowly emerging hint of licorice.
