It has been woven traditionally on our historic looms, which date back to the 1890's.

The special lustrous natural grey fibres and yarns, were also used to create the famous Fellowship Cloaks from Lord of the Rings Trilogy, along with many other designer textiles woven for this wonderful Trilogy exclusively, by Stansborough.

Stansborough Grey sheep are a rare, historic breed and therefore have significant ties to an earlier time, where Elves, Dwarves, Wizards ruled the Mountains and Valleys of Middle Earth.
