A retro inspired vintage design featuring a key-hole bridge and a very flat lens curvature. A classic rounded sunglass style with metal domes on each side of the front and on the temples. The materials used in these Barkers sunglasses is mazzucchelli bio acetate.
The Italian company shares our same family-oriented, responsibilty soured artisan values. These frames are made from wood pulp and renewable origins. The eco-concious acetate is biodegradable and compostable. The perfect lens partner for Barkers sunglasses is the lightweight and very durable polarised CR-39 (Columbia Resin 39).
The material was first used commercially during World War II in the B-17 bomber aircraft where it was used to help create glass –reinforced plastic fuel tanks. CR-39 is a plastic polymer and is commonly used in the manufacture of sunglass lenses and offers excellent optics. The lenses are category 3 sunglass lenses and offer 100% UV protection. Polarised.
